My favorite photo of the day, Saturday, September 14th, 2011. The Great Blue Heron in flight was going post to post trying to gain possession of an already occupied post. I like this photo because it shows both Laughing Gulls and Great Blue Herons as well as human influence evidenced by the boat. It was a warm day, borderline hot. The water was cool. There was a light breeze.Long Beach MS is located in Harrison County, the middle county of the 3 Mississippi Gulf Coast Counties. The towns from the western border are: Pass Christian, Long Beach, Gulfport, Biloxi.
