Biloxi Back Bay Morning

I admit that I am hooked on bird watching; particularly water fowl. I find it interesting that they are aware of each other (or seem to be), yet do not interact or bother each other.

Name this bird...

I watched this bird for quite awhile at the Forrest St Fishing Pier, Biloxi Back Bay--near KAFB Gate 1.

He is beautiful and seemed to get along fine with the other birds enjoying the morning, as well as the people that were out net fishing. Does anyone know his species?
